Gmail / Google Workspace Integration

Your team keeps using Gmail for human replies. Outbound automation goes through your domain via Mailgun.

Email Connects via: DNS records on your Google-hosted domain

If your business email runs on Google Workspace, the integration is intentionally light — you don't connect a Gmail mailbox to us. Gmail and Google Workspace are not built for high-volume outbound automation (and trying to do it that way leads to deliverability problems and rate limits).

Instead, we send automated email through your own authenticated domain using Mailgun. Your team keeps Gmail exactly as it is for human replies and personal sends, and replies to automated emails route back through Mailgun so our system can see them and stop the follow-up sequence.

Keep Gmail untouched

Human team keeps using Gmail for one-to-one replies; both flows coexist.

How to connect Gmail / Google Workspace

~10 minutes
1
Pick a sending subdomain (e.g. mail.yourbusiness.com). This keeps your main MX records — the ones used by Google Workspace — completely untouched.
2
Follow the Mailgun setup: publish the four DNS records (SPF, DKIM, MX, tracking CNAME) on that subdomain at your DNS host.
3
Click Verify domain in the dashboard.
4
That's it. Workflow emails and AI follow-ups now go out as your business address, while Gmail keeps doing exactly what it does today.
Good to know
  • Direct Gmail / Google Workspace mailbox API access is not used because Google's per-account quotas and abuse-prevention systems are not designed for marketing- or automation-style outbound volume.
