Workbooks is a UK-based mid-market CRM with a robust REST API. We authenticate with an API key tied to a Workbooks user and write Leads, People, Organisations, Opportunities, and Cases.

Workbooks Process Engine can call webhooks on record changes, which we use to fire AI follow-up campaigns from inside Workbooks.

How to connect Workbooks

In Workbooks, go to Start → Configuration → Email & Integration → API Keys → New API Key. Set 'Access as User' so the key runs with that user's capabilities and permissions.

Open Workflows → Integrations → Workbooks in the dashboard and paste the key.

Pick whether new chat captures should land as Sales Leads or People + Opportunities.

Optional: configure a Workbooks Trigger to fire AI follow-ups. Go to Start → Configuration → Automation → Triggers → Create Trigger, point it at the Record Type you care about, then open the Subscriptions tab → New Webhook and use the inbound URL we provide.

Send a test conversation and verify the record appears.
